How much does this cost?

Eyecatcher Press works only with new authors. We mentor you through the process of starting and finishing the book in less than 12 months—sometimes sooner.  Our fees are based on the estimated time it will take to complete your project based on your writing ability, time commitments, length and breadth of topic, as well as if you want a print a hardcover, soft cover or paperback book.

Example:

There are three parts in the overall cost to take your book to press: Printing of the book,  Design/layout of the book and the Project Management costs. Here’s an example of the cost breakdowns:

Printing costs  to print a book 3000 copies of a 150 page book (with a suggested retail price of $19.95), with a size of 6 inches high by 4 wide, full color, soft cover with laminated protective film, will be approximately $2.50 per book.

Design costs to create 3-4 book cover concepts to choose from, interior pages layout, proof reading, typesetting and digital file creation costs can range from $3500-4800 depending on how elaborate the cover design, graphics, photography, etc.

Project management costs: Depending on how much assistance you need to create, write, edit and refine the book’s message, our project management fees will vary. We’ve found that  typical book project as we’ve just described will require $4800-6500 in mentoring fees to complete the project. As part of this project management fee, we manage the relationships and drive the project with the design and printing companies to get the greatest value and quality possible. We only use sources that have proven to be dependable and we have worked with for many years.

Summary of Costs:

The total production costs—paid out in phases—as you can see, will require an investment of $17,000-$19,000. That’s about $5-6 total per book cost. Here’s the exciting part: If you sold all 3000 copies at $19.95 you would generate nearly $60,000 in book revenue.
